WH656 9 #1 Posted April 7, 2019 Hi All, WH 656 Tractor. I am new to forum and tractors, but wondering what the issue is.. Leaks near my finger in the pic at first so I put a better o-ring in the oil fill cap thingy and then it starts leaking even more out of the top .. Cant really trust it to mow the lawn long-term.. Got another Tecumseh 6 HP that came with it that I could prolly have rebuilt and still mow my lawn but its gushing out so gonna have to get it fixed. Any suggestions? Any places that do this that dont break the bank?

troutbum70 858 #3 Posted April 7, 2019 I would not think severe damage probably cause of your leakage and maybe require new head gasket at this point. I am sure others with more knowledge will chime in with better advice. Good luck

peter lena 9,280 #8 Posted April 7, 2019 WH656 ,yes that engine breather is a vital point, between the environment your engine lives in , DUST , GRASS CLIPPINGS , LEAF DEBRIS , as well as internal engine pressure , it easy to see your engine is trying to vent from any weak point. found a similar point on my kohler magnum engine vent to carb intake area . the formed vent hose was slightly kinked . replaced it with a new hose , and lubricated its contact point fit, letting it find itself , the silicone grease allows the hose to settle in its mounting spot. pete
