id number help for my 520???

I picked up a new 520HC (maroon stripe) yesterday. It was the one on ebay with no motor. I am trying to find out what year it is and get some more parts info on it. I tried parts tree and the toro site but could not find it. Here is what I have:

found it !! It is a 1988.

Steve, your model # is actually C1-200E01 which makes it a 1988.

It is either an 1988 or 1989. The part number is 31-20OE01 for the 88 and 31-20OE02 for the 89.

I was just about to correct you on the model # you gave Jeff but I went to the TORO site and both the # you gave and the # I provided give you the same tractor . I dont get that?

According to my WH Bible, the C1- is the HC and the 31- is the H... This happens alot with the VIN numbers on many different tractors and different sources.

There should be a law against using zeros and letter O s in the same model number :omg:
