SylvanLakeWH 24,318 #1 Posted March 1, 2019 I was reading through Mr. Martino's excellent book - "Straight from the Horse's Mouth - The Wheel Horse Story (Final Edition)" for the 3rd or 4th time... Got me to thinking might be fun to occasionally test folks on their knowledge of all things Wheel Horse...and encourage reading his fine book. Simple rules: 1. Respond if you wish 2. Cheating is expected - All source material will come from the above-referenced book. If you have not read it you should! It is excellent. My goal is simple - have some fun while expanding knowledge of the Wheel Horse company and their tractors... First Question: Two blokes carried a Wheel Horse tractor across what town as a publicity stunt in the mid-60's. When they set it down - where did they then drive it? How many miles? If @AMC RULES said dog-eared page is "W" and the information to answer this trivia question is found on page "H", then solve the following to get to the correct page: W+(120/2)+1= H Where W=103 In the FINAL edition, all the answers are there except the type of tractor they carried - that I would like to know based on the information presented on the page... City was London Drove it 420 miles to Paisley Scotland Appears to be a 1960 .. with correct footrests but sure looks like a Techy motor?.. Clearly a fairbanks recoil. What drive train (transmission and differentials) did the Ponds use and where did they "find" them?
