kto434 108 #1 Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) Does this look right to you guys? Did the C-125 Auto come with manual lift? Edited February 28, 2019 by T-Mo Edited to remove ad content
953 nut 59,746 #2 Posted February 28, 2019 Sure, They could make more money by selling a hydraulic lift as an option. Take a look at this sales booklet.
Pollack Pete 2,273 #3 Posted February 28, 2019 I suppose that's correct.I do know that all hydro Wheel Horse tractors didn't necessarily come with a hydraulic lift.I'm sure others will chime in.
clueless 3,224 #4 Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) I had it's older brother, C-121 auto, had the manual lift. Edited February 28, 2019 by clueless
kto434 108 #5 Posted February 28, 2019 What made me do a double take is I have never seen the Eaton 11 tranny offered without hydraulic lift. I have only seen the light duty Eaton 7 tranny paired with manual lift—which made me wonder whether the C-125 used the Eaton 7 tranny instead of the robust Eaton 11. JoeM 8,284 #6 Posted February 28, 2019 the one thing I have learned is there are so many variations, and little known fact until you dig into these machines. I have a C120 Auto with a manual lift and Sundstrand Hydro. The Hydro lift was an option also. The 1100 Eaton could go either way, but the 700 was only manual from what I have seen. Ed Kennell 41,775 #7 Posted February 28, 2019 I have Sundstrands with both manual and hyd lifts. All my Eaton 700s have manual lift. All my Eaton 1100s have hydraulic lift. Not sure if this means anything....just sayin.
kto434 108 #8 Posted March 1, 2019 Does anyone happen to know when WH began offering the Eaton 1100? A C-125 is an 80’s vintage machine and maybe the Eaton 11 series was not offered until later.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,441 #9 Posted March 1, 2019 The C-125 Auto was only produced for 2 years 01-12KE01 (C-125) - Toro C-125 Automatic Tractor (1980) 01-12KE02 (C-125) - Toro C-125 Automatic Tractor (1981) 01-12KS01 (C-125) - Toro C-125 Automatic Tractor (1980) The E and the S in the model number is for Eaton and Sundstrand. 1980 was the year they changed. kto434 108 #10 Posted March 1, 2019 (edited) Thanks for all the helpful comments. Gerry, thanks for the info. The tractor’s ID badge shows it is a 1980 model using the Sundstrand tranny (01-12KS01)—which explains it better—this C-125 is like my former 1979 C-121–Sundstrand tranny (probably the same model tranny—am gonna try to nail that down—with manual lift). It is fun learning about these fantastic mowcheens! Edited March 1, 2019 by kto434
