Lee1977 7,232 #2 Posted February 21, 2019 If the crank shaft is drilled and tapped you can bolt on as much additional shaft as you need. I was running 16 Briggs Vanguard with a short shaft and added an inch or so. Ran 20 years like that. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
peter lena 9,320 #3 Posted February 21, 2019 check out the , INNER PULLEY ON THE SHAFT , had a similar issue on a recent engine / pto. backed off the two Allen screws on the inner pulley shoulder then carefully tap at inner base of pulley, lubricate area, if that shoulders out and gives you what you need , that's what happened to me. this was a used engine , but the gap you have between side of block and inside of pulley, looks what I had. good luck , pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
