New 702 I Think w/ 520 Axle

Every weekend so far in 2019 I've hauled home a Horse.  Turning out to be a great year so far.

 

Last weekend I snagged this poor tractor that someone has added custom features to.  Believe it is a 702 that someone cut the tank and hood.  Plus installed a Briggs and Stratton motor.

 

Well have been wanting to put a 520-H forward swept axle on a round hood.  So...since someone else started butchering the poor girl, figured it would be a good candidate for the axle project.  Little adjustments and it was on.  Added the wide rear rims and tires also.  Next step is to possibly put the gear reduction steering on it.  Still need to switch the seat out.  But happy how it looks so far

Pretty cool for sure, but it is not a 702.  It is a 1963 or 1964 model.  The 1962s did not have the star wheel adjustment for the lift.

 

See if there is a decal under the paint on the belt guard.  If so, you can lightly rub the decal with Acetone to remove the paint and save the decal.  The decal will tell you what horse you have.

I was wondering the same thing! I think it's just the flywheel cover though.

Now it needs duel wheels or 12 x 12 x 26's on 12" wide wheels . Looks a little light in the rear.

Two bolts and a drill is all they needed to add it.

Why!       Is it that hard to steer?                       I love the look you are developing there.

With the Wide Clide  front end you NEED dual rear tires!

Thanks Steve....it is a cobbled up mess so who knows what it actually started as.  This is the first Wheel Horse that I have actually customized.  Not one to do any customizing as I like the original look.  But, as mentioned, it is already a Frankenstein.

Looks like a hybrid between a 702, and 604, and a 520.  That's what happens when you keep male and female Horses together in the same barn.    But I still like it.

Previous owner used if for several years for plowing snow.  Know it isn't a vertical shaft
