The Tuul Crib 7,339 #1 Posted January 27, 2019 Pulled my 1987 414-8 out of the garage this afternoon to make sure everything was in working order because we may get snow on Tuesday here. Engine idols fine and has an adjustment to fix that but at high rpm's it sputters and cannot find an adjustment screw for that any suggestions would be helpful. It's probably a fixed jet carb with no adjustment needle for the high speed. If you had "a bunch of junk" in the bowl then there's a bunch of junk in the carb. A thorough cleaning of the entire carb and you should be all set 5
wildman 205 #5 Posted January 28, 2019 Would be a good time to swap out the fuel line

pfrederi 18,690 #7 Posted January 28, 2019 I really am not impressed with the Walbro Fixed jet carbs. If they act up I tend to by a Chinese knockoff with the adjustable main
