Mechanical Fuel Pump Reassembly Help Needed

Recommended Posts

oliver2-44

I disassembled the aluminum mechanical fuel pump on a 1078 C81 I'm getting running. First one I've been into.

I knew there were disc and springs inside, but it was so cruded up, that I'm 100% not sure I got the correct order of things as I gently scraped it apart.

Does anyone have a diagram or a picture that shows the correct placement of the 2 round disc and springs.  Thanks.

Part of the problem was the fuel inlet elbow was completely plugged with hard (concrete like) crud. I had to use a drill bit  to hand ream it out.

Thanks @whx21 thats exactly what I needed.  Here I looked all over the Internet and it was in the manual right where I should have looked.  Yes I soaked it in Berrymans and polished things up with a Dremel. Headed to go reassemble it now.
