It truly is. I was very excited and so appreciative of them giving it to me. It was not expected. I offered to help only for the sake of being nice and to help ease the extra stress of a already stressful time. But I'm more excited then ever to get this one going and driving. It kind of feels like it's earned a special spot in my shop already.

Great story, and it is nice that you will get to keep that one going!

I love the bug lights! Once I get my C160 home, I might have to add some! Folks at work were swapping 12vdc lights out for LEDs on a bunch of emergency lighting boxes.... I think I have 4 of the old lights on hand.

Excellent Sir!!!

Love these kind of stories.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

I've been called "special" too but maybe not in the same way.....:ROTF:

I have a set of those lights that came off my 854, if you need parts or anything.  At least they look very similar.

The friend you were helping out really appreciated everything you were doing and wanted to give you something that you would enjoy!

With the exception of the seat & seat pan you said was bad, the tractor doesn't look to bad at all.

Great story!

Great story!

Great catch!

Make sure you post that picture of the seat in the "ugly seat" thread...

I would do that but when I went t OK move it. The seat and it's fur cover and part of the fender pan all fell off LOL.

It really is a pretty solid tractor. Has some rust from sitting out doors under a tarp. But I think it will clean up well.

Hahahahaha

I think you should still post it. I don't recall seeing a rule stating that the seat or Fender pan had to be all in one piece.

Congratulations!  Your good deed was appreciated by him and I sure he got a lot of joy giving it to you since it was special to his son.

That is the first "fur" seat I have seen...Very elegant! Tres chic even...Must have been a very limited "Anniversary Edition" offering by Wheel Horse or some such thing...Keep your hind quarters warm while plowing snow!  :ROTF:

Perhaps post a "wanted" ad in the Classifieds: "Need NOS Mink Seat Cover - Will Accept Cheap Home Harvested Knock Offs If Tanned and Stretched"...:ychain:
