Ariens Loader Backhoe Cub Cadet 5000 Backhoe Cub Cadet Loader Backhoe John Deere Backhoe Loader Simplicity Loader Backhoe White Loader Backhoe Wonder which one above could be converted easily?? Rideawaysenior 25 #2 Posted March 16, 2009 I'll bet its a proprietary thing. Because Wheel Horse is considered no longer in manufacture, they were decommisioned by Toro, or Kwick Way's marketing people felt that the market would dry up with WH not being made any more. If you look at the list there, all of the other manufacturers still are producing tractors except Ariens. White, and Cub are owned by Modern Tool and Dye (MTD), John Deere (if you think a Wheel Horse is worth gold, you should see the price of these things) and Simplicity are as you all know still being produced providing an "active" market for the loader and backhoe. It would still be nice though if they would make one to fit. Although they wouldn't fly off the shelves, I'm sure that they would sell a few here and there. treepatrol 0 #3 Posted March 16, 2009 Thanks Rideawaysenior Its a shame you would think one of those would be easy to convert huh?
Rideawaysenior 25 #4 Posted March 16, 2009 Modifications to the loader would be easy as most of it was just pump location. The subframe would be the challange, but those I'm sure they could produce without much effort. Jack
treepatrol 0 #5 Posted March 16, 2009 The subframe would be the challange. Thats the part I thought would be the hardest wish someone would look at there specs pdfs and figure out which one would be the simplest.
Nick 13 #6 Posted March 16, 2009 wish someone would look at there specs pdfs and figure out which one would be the simplest Im not real sure what specs you need. But I believe the Kwik-Way loader subframe is the same for any classic Wheel Horse GT. Our loader has been on a 520H and the big C-195 and I assume would bolt right onto a 310 also. The KW loader itself s basically unchanged so my guess is a brand new loader would fit on our old subframe.
Dual Wheels 2 #7 Posted March 16, 2009 They still make the loader,,,they are all the same...It's the subframes that are different..and there is really not that much to them...they could eaily be copied. All the 300, 400 and 500 series use exactly the same subframe..
Dual Wheels 2 #8 Posted March 16, 2009 Oh ya...also all the "c's" ..including the mighty ..195..use the same subframe as the 300.400...and 500...
Docwheelhorse 2,740 #9 Posted March 23, 2009 Throw in the B's too... my Kwik Way came off the 520 and went onto a B80 with no changes to bolt positions or anything.... About twenty minutes and it was loosely on the tractor and only needed to be tightened up. Tony

Herbl 10 #14 Posted July 24, 2009 I just got off the phone with Kwik-Way (Jerry) and they said they will make a front Loader for a WH 520-H, they gave me the following costs: Loader w/Mounts $ 2,520.00 Bucket 40 inch $ 220.00 Bucket 48 inch $ 250.00 Weight Box $ 165.00 Not cheap but certainly an option for that hard to find FEL

Forest Road 594 #18 Posted January 17, 2014 I have a 520xi w a kwik way loader. I've spoken w kwik way several times. They are no longer making loaders for garden tractors. The loader was unchanged for 20+ years. The subframe is the difference. It'd be easy for any decent welder to fan one up. BTW my loader is located 225 miles away at our family vacation place. So unfortunately I can't readily measure it or take photos. Personally for what it takes to mount and dismount I keep it as a dedicated loader.
