Artmilaca 21 #1 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) I recently bought a 520 H and trying to determine the year of manufacture. The ID tag under the left hand side of the seat is worn off and half of the sticker on the engine is gone but I have the engine manual and somebody wrote in it P220GI10540B It has an Onan Performer 20 XSL engine. 5 gauges and two rows of warning lights on dash. I am making a second trip today to pick up the implements that came with it. a tiller, snow blower, and mower deck. I think all of the implements may have been bought at the same time as the tractor and I have all the manuals and everything . The first image is what somebody wrote in the tiller manual Edited October 4, 2018 by Artmilaca Additional

Of course I don't know if that meter is working because I haven't run it that except to move it onto my trailer. How did you determine the year ?

Kurt-NEPA 755 #13 Posted October 4, 2018 Your pictures back up what Terry said. S/N says 1988. The motion control between your legs, Test switch on the idiot light panel, and the drive belt disconnect all say its a 1988 or 1989. Do yourself a favor - clean out around the hydro as best you can and pull the engine tins and clean out around the cylinders. Both of these cause overheating and shorten the life expectancy. Looks like a fun project.

Ed Kennell 35,829 #15 Posted October 4, 2018 Yep, motion control lever between the legs was '88 and '89. '90 and newer was on the steering shaft. I much prefer the lever between the legs. Real easy to install a foot control pedal.

Looks like a fun project. Weather getting cold here but tomorrow I'm pulling the seat pan and tins and going to give it a good pressure wash and dig into the maintenance. Grease, oil change, Hydro change, filters. Seat will probably do I have to wait until I stumble into a good deal

Hi Toolcrib, I could use a new ignition switch for sure and maybe a new throttle control if you have a tight one. Is there a way to do PM's on the Forum, if there is I haven't figured it out
