Packard 56 series - what gauge?

I need to order some packard connectors, male and female. What is the proper gauge for the wires for, say, the ignition key switch plug? I originally got some 14-16 gauge connectors for the rectifier on the GT14, but I don't know if that was right.

 

This is for fixing the connectors on a 310-8.
