WH654 23 #1 Posted June 9, 2018 I just bought a Raider 12 and i have to hold the throttle control out to keep the rpm's up is there a way to fix this?
953 nut 58,948 #2 Posted June 9, 2018 You can find new ones on Ebay or you can use a spring loaded cloths pin. 1
wallfish 17,772 #3 Posted June 9, 2018 The old push/pull throttle cables have a twist lock. Turn to the right and they lock in position. Yours may have been replaced, it got stripped out or isn't turning. If you need a new one search for locking throttle control

Throttle cables are not cheap.
CasualObserver 3,410 #5 Posted June 9, 2018 Your problem might be that the knob is spinning on the throttle control and not turning the lock. You can try glueing the knob, it may work. I just clamped a tiny pair of vice grips to mine and it makes a nice easy grip lever for locking and unlocking the throttle.
