Decided to strip and repaint my wheels which sorely need redone. Decided to leave the tire on and see how it would work out. I think they will be ok doing it this way. Here is the primer coat. Marv

They will look good. Might end up with overspray on the tire by not covering it. Going white or off white?

I've done this to every tractor that I haven't changed tires on. I usually cover the treads and everything with newspaper unless the tires needs a good coat of black tire paint. Lookin good!

Used Rustoleum Canvas White.

I have painted several with the tires on, I have sheets of cardboard cut to the diameter of the rim, I just use 2" tape around the rim and then lay the sheet over top.

as for color I have been using antique white, it's an almond shade
