Kurt-NEPA 755 #3 Posted June 2, 2018 Nice videos. I found the other two on You Tube. Always good to see detailed tear down and build up videos on critical pieces of equipment. I have two of these carb on my 5xi's. You said you used an ultrasonic cleaner. What media did you use? Thanks for sharing. Kurt
MS GENERAL REPAIR 17 #4 Posted June 2, 2018 Right now my ultrasonic has Zenith #251 clock cleaning solution in it. It works pretty well on carburetors. I'm going to try Blaze Off by Birsch. I've been using Blaze Off for 15 years as a cleaner/de-greaser in an atomizer bottle. it works pretty well and is easy on your lungs. My ultrasonic cleaner is a heated model, so FLASH POINTS of products is always a concern. Some Cleaners I could use at room temperature, I would never put in my ultrasonic. Kurt-NEPA 755 #5 Posted June 2, 2018 I've been using some NAPA carb cleaner in a one gallon can. Works well if you let the carb sit for a day or two. I was wondering if it would work in an an ultrasonic unit. Yours is heated, don't think I would try that. Might be a cheapy ultrasonic cleaner in my feature. Thanks for the the info.
