Wheel horse c125

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a wheel horse c125 with a automatic transmission.  I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of trans fluid or gear oil I should use in it when I service it.

Plenty of manuals available here.  Post your model and serial numbers.  Should be a tag with them on the tractor somewhere.  I'm sure Garry will point you to the right one

The C125 auto came with both the Sundstrand and the Eaton 1100 hydro. I may be wrong but I think they both called for 10w-30 motor oil (not ATF).

Check the color...Pink is ATF and Amber is 10w-30 motor oil.   Do not mix the two.  Gear oil is only used for gear drive transmissions.   Do not use it in a hydrostatic.

:WRS:              If you can post the model number we can give you a copy of the manual for your :wh:. If the filter on your transmission faces the rear it is an Eaton 1100, if it faces the right side it is a Sundstrand.
