Hi, looking for a UK source of blades for my 36 cutting deck that won't  bankrupt me.

 

I need 2 x 12inch and one 14 inch,  5/8 center holes.

It may not be a great help but if you're not in urgent need, I've got a 36" deck in the shed with a pretty terminal shell - I was going to strip the useful parts off it at some point.

I don't recall what condition the blades are in but can try and take a look this week. If they're any good, and you're happy to collect/cover the cost of the postage, you'd be welcome to them

 

I've used Toro Tractor Spares in the past, but not found them tremendously cheap.

 

I suppose they're past sharpening? I've had good results with putting an old set across a grinding wheel...

Thanks, I am in no great hurry just going over a replacement deck  for my old one which is in tatters.

blades are rough but I am a little concerned re deck spindles which feel rough.

 

If you blades are useable I might well be interested and what are your spindle housings like?

I am becoming  quite a dab hand at sharpening blades.

I was offered it a while ago by someone who knew I had a Wheelhorse; I picked it up and squirreled it away, so I'm not intimate with it but I'm pretty positive it's complete and in reasonable order other than the shell.

I'll try and find some time to dig it out this week, give it a once-over/take some photos and get back to you.

 

In fact, it's just reminded me I've got a Lawn Ranger in it's component pieces, which I need to unearth and put in the classifieds for anybody wanting a project
