Hello from central Indiana! Well, I traded a pistol and $200 for a 314-8 with 309 hours and a rough c-100.  I started the 314 tonight, but I’m not getting fuel to the pump, gummed up I assume.  Didn’t have time to mess with the c-100. I’m pumped to be tinkering with something again.  I used to mess around with small block chevys but I don’t have the garage space nor money for hot rods.

I hope to restore the c-100 and work the hell out of the 314.  I have a 1/2 acre food plot for deer that I haven’t been able to successfully get the ground worked up to make a decent seed bed.  I ve be been using my craftsman lt1000 and a Wizard for working the food plot and mowing.  The craftsman mows decent but that’s about it.

Cant wait to get the 314 mowing!

That is a nice score on two great tractors! The 314 will be a great worker for you, much better than your current set up lol

As for the C100 it doesn't look rough to me other than what appears to be a broken spindle. Looks like it would make a fairly simple restoration assuming the engine and transmission are ok.

The previous owner was probably using gas with ethanol in it. Best to replace the fuel lines and filter and use non ethanol gas. You will probably need to rebuild the carburetor too.

I had it running last night.  Put some gas in a beer can and took the line apart at the filter. I had gas in the tank but it wasn’t coming out of the filter.  I’d say either the filter is that bad or the fuel shut off on the bottom of the tank is clogged.  I agree with you on replacing the lines and filter, I’m going to do that this evening.  I need to wrangle up a solenoid for it today as well....and some tires that hold air lol

314 didn’t run long! Lol oh well.  I cleaned the points on the c100 and drove it to the shed. Let the work begin!

How does the block look? I hope it's not ventilated.

Must have never seen an oil change in 310 hours.

Hahaha block looks good.  The gear on the crank assembly...not so much.  I’ll dig more into it tomorrow

The welcoming here makes up for it.  I’ll get it cleaned up and rebuilt.

Or the fuse blew and the hour meter hadn't worked for several years.

Block is busted. She’s toast.

Total damage done: broken rod, broken counterbalance gear, busted block, governor gear disenegrated, piston has chunks falling off, and a busted chunk out of the bottom of the cylinder.  ISO Kohler M14 lol
