Sparky-(Admin) 19,587 #3 Posted February 27, 2009 Good luck with it. Looks like you have some serious rust behind the dash area. Musta spent some time outdoors in the weather. And whats with the mower deck belts?? Did ya give them Viagra? Never seen uninstalled belts look so stiff ! Mike........
Duff 206 #4 Posted February 27, 2009 Looks like you have some serious rust behind the dash area. Musta spent some time outdoors in the weather. Could also be a battery split at some point. Be sure to check the frame directly under that area - if the rust is too deep you may want to have someone weld in a reinforcing plate or two. Good machine, though, and well worth the work! Teddy da Bear 11 #5 Posted February 27, 2009 Wow....you could use a sand blaster if you don't already have one.
wingrider 21 #6 Posted February 27, 2009 Good luck with the restore job on the C101, I also have one that I am rebuilding the motor on now and hope to redo the rest of it later. I had to buy new motor mounts and I found Toro don't give them away. Enjoy the experience! Gary B.
