Got the tin off my next project. The build is a secret for now. All I can say is it involves an 854. Managed to get some sanding done. Next is hammering out the few dents. I’m still not sure how I’m gonna paint it. I’m thinking powder everything but the motor and trans and spray those.

Changed the muffler on my ‘69 Charger 12!

Cleaned the points and put a charger on the '73 Auto12 that I got in a package deal last year. Pulled it into the shop and put some fresh Rotella in it and gave it a once-over. Don't know yet what I'll do with it but the price was right.

 

Strong k301, hydro strong and clean, 10 pinion LS with 1 1/8 axles but no center lift on this frame. Wiring has been replaced but with nylon terminals, no heat shrink anywhere. Cheap clamps and just ugly fuel lines so lots of potential but I'll have to think about how I'll end up putting this one to work...

Put a new hitch reciever on the C-81 today, then put on a set of wheel weights I picked up last summer. Put the grader blade on & touched up the driveway, knocked down the "turn around berm". 

It was too nice out to stop so I decided to rake the front yard too. 

Put her in the shop so she could spend some time with her big sister when I was done.

The kit I bought is made better than that. I’d prefer to buy a kit then make it.

Hi all, how is spring going?

I found a wheel horse A111 engine behind on the internet , i think it looks like a nice retro toy for the girls and my line-up 🙄. 

Is it worth buying?

What is it called beside A111... a sit in front of engine a111...?

Those are neat little rear engine mowers. I don’t think much collectors value but cool for sure.

Thats whay i was thinking, the only problem is there is no value in it if you whant to sell later.

So I changed the belt today because it would squeal when I let the clutch out and it needed a new one because it was sitting deep in the pulleys. Well any I got it changed used a 82 inches I know your post to use 82 1/2. Well lets say it was very tight and I barely got it in gear well as you can see in the pic where my finger is the belt was on the outside of it and it ate the belt. Got it fixed now everything is working fine but the clutch is now jumping so maybe I can stick I stiffer spring on it. Part of the belt is ate and some isn't.

A stronger spring won't stop that damaged belt from jumping.   You may as well plan to buy a new belt as that one will not last very long with that frayed underside.

The wrong parts on that tractor are going to cause serious transmission damage when you keep forcing the gears in.

This followed us home the other night. Not sure what our plan is for it just yet. It’s pretty low on our list of things to work on at the moment but the guy wanted it out of his yard. But it will get fixed up some day. We got the hood but it’s been hacked and adapted to fit that engine. Unsure of the exact model tractor since I’ve Never owned a lawn ranger before.

Hopefully I am done plowing snow for this year so I decided to clean up the plow tractor.

It has a slow hydraulic leak, not enough to actually drip on the floor but the machine looked terrible underneath the tin work.

I replaced the O rings on all the hydraulic hoses and in the control valve itself.

Then a lot of the tin was removed and tractor got a good de-greasing and washing.

It was up to a balmy 37 degrees F. so a nice day to get the hose out.

Looks much better now.

 

I let it dry then installed the fender and seat.

 

Rest of the covers will get installed after a good dry-out period.

I will also give it time to show any more leaks.
