ebinmaine 63,509 #2528 Posted June 18, 2019 Craig and Jim I was advised by quite a good many people both on this site and in my own area to put a moisture barrier on the floor of any type of portable shelter. Moisture is constantly evaporating out of the ground no matter where you are. Obviously, some places more than others. I went through it front to rear but isn't a restoration. One of the things I did was a complete rewire. I was bummed on the first test run when I saw that it was showing a discharge on the ammeter. Got the voltmeter out and quickly realized some dummy electrician hook it up backwards The drive doesn't seem to 'connect' properly so I've got some checking out to do there. I got a decent deck with it but I won't be using it. Eclaire-moi, s'il te plaît. The total of what we ended up doing is removing some of the mossy material from what was the forest floor. Filling the holes where the stumps came out with rocks. Leveling the lowest corner with a layer of rocks. That was roughly one cubic yard. We then laid a 9 mil thick two-sided tarp down. Covered that tarp with anywhere between 2 inches on the high side, down to 6 or 7 inches on the low side, of 3/4" Stone. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Super-C 4 me 612 #2535 Posted June 18, 2019 I had the same problem with moisture. Now just leave the door open most of the time unless a storm is coming. Middle of winter freezing outside suns out, 75 degrees in my shelter tractors all sweating like a cold beer on a summers day. so that being said door stays open to keep temp. the same inside and out. No problems with tractor sweat after that. Keeps the sun and rain off them, that's really what I wanted it for. There are after market vents you can glue or contact cement into place. 12x20 stored 7 tractors this past winter.
