Tractorhead 8,611 #7354 Posted October 28, 2020 Get today a delivery of some Steel i wait for. like to built a Frame myself from Scratch.. firstly find the needed lenght, i like to have. i ended up from rearaxle to Tip with 1,60 meter. than i cutted the lenght and use the Bandsaw and later the Grinder to cut angles in. i cut the Angles a bit wider, because i will reinforce the welding sections later. so i be able to bend it in the Vice to my destination angle i need. Short verification after bending. doesn‘t look too bad. when i lay it on the floor in correct dimensions, i check, if my Plan will work. peter lena 8,069 #7361 Posted October 28, 2020 JHOOK, typically steering wheel removal is tough, but if you do that , then you can slide the bearing over the shaft , cleaned and lubricated , for a possible mounting spot , if its a matter of beefing up a mounting spot , you measure your spot and make it stronger , for a 2 bolt hold down . this bearing is much stronger than the original set up , yet serves the same function. as you recover your dash area , the mounting modification will come into view , with new steel. pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

In the lower 50's here today so I said to heck with it & closed the shop & played hookie. Cleaned up the plow mules and their implements of carnage and greased them up for their winter home. Cleaned up four more, pulled batteries and stuffed them in the horse hauler winter home. See ya in spring girls. The challenge. My C141 with a grader blade in action. After several side passes to knock the piles down things are getting close. The finished product. Playing with my grader blade was sooo much fun. Now that i have patterns made, i will cut reinforcing pieces for all my later model tractors. ohiofarmer 3,157 #7367 Posted October 29, 2020 Another project of many on the c-145/c-141 recent purchases were the Goodyear ags. They were just horrible with ground in dirt and scarring. Robert K 37 #7371 Posted October 29, 2020 Couple weeks ago I made my own tillering handle for the blade angle and added the linear actuator to raise and lower the blade. Actuator is only a 4" throw. Could use a 6". Its set up to go down 3/4" below grade. Needs to go higher though. That's where the 6" actuator will come in. lever was a pain. John37027 2 #7374 Posted October 29, 2020 '87 414-8 model with 42" deck- adjusted trunion bolt for raised deck bumper contact with footpads, leveled deck, installed gator blades, adjusted the PTO and replaced idle pulley/drive belt.
