Gentlemen,

Today I reinstalled the head on the ‘69 Charger 12 complete with a new gasket, spark plug and bolts. There’s something about shiny new hardware that really gives me the fizz. Anyone else?

Absolutely!

PB Blaster = wife repellent

 Rust-Oleum=birth control!

Same for old gear oil! And if you really wanna make the ladies angry, just mix up some body filler skim coat!

Then...

Played in the muck.

Like Bondo, but supposed to be for very tiny imperfections like rust pitting.

But it is crazy obnoxious on the chemical smell. Dunno how body shop folks have brain cells left!

Nitro Stan. Water based filler for pin holes, fish eyes and orange peel.

Whatever it is, it is some seriously strong smelling stuff.

Doesn't stink like Bondo as it's water based. Not two part. More like tooth paste. Made for very thin application.

Old 1960 ish varnished stinking gasoline works too.

And if you want to get back at your enemies, just pour some in the carpet of their car! LOL

I accidentally spilled some on my work boots and had to throw them out.

Removed the plow. Didn’t get used much this season, but the couple of weeks it did, it got the job done.

Normally Id mount the mower deck, but that responsibility is being taken over. So this one is gonna be pulling and plowing.

Gave it a general clean up, touched up a couple scratches.

Seats been cracked for a while now, so once the seat switch comes in for another seat I have, I’ll put that one on.

Bummer though, cause this one has Wheelhorse emblem formed into it.

I'd keep that seat and do a little repair on it. Tuck some patches underneath the tears with some good vinyl glue on them. They would close up pretty good where as you would hardly notice them.

I’m gonna try and save it, but once repaired. It will probably stay on a shelf. Just cant really find em in good shape.

I got lucky with this one, and snagged it off a member here, burnerman,  who pulled it off something with a rotted seat pan. Forget what it came from but it was a parts tractor.

Worst of the worst. Carb cleaner in the gal-5 gal pails.

Honorable mention:

Gear oil (Burnt is the bomb!)

PB Blaster

Varnish gas

Burn't windings

I don't think they sell Nitro-Stan anymore around here. All of the finish putty is 2 part now

Had this rear axle tiller/ dozer mount that looked like it was sitting on the bottom of the ocean. Cleaned all rust off. Going to primer and paint it. One of the locking levers is busted but it will still work.
