cleat 9,374 #26853 Posted Wednesday at 08:37 PM Put six of them to bed for the winter. 312H, 520-8, 416H, 520H (X2), 312-8 Siphoned out most of gas then ran till empty. Pulled battery. These were barely ran all summer so I didn't bother doing oil changes etc. Got the 520HC with the plow moved up and I will get it all checked out and ready for winter duty. The 520 with the mower deck is still in service to grind up leaves for the next few weeks.

Do I really need that many tractors to clear snow? Stan50 242 #26857 Posted yesterday at 09:55 AM I installed strip of old conveyor belt on the edge of dozer blade. Belt is 3/8 thick. Front stabilizer for snowplow is ready too. When I install the plow I will drill a few holes in stabilizer rod for different levels. Next move -- tire chains probably. 8
Ed Kennell 47,517 #26858 Posted 2 hours ago Who needs a BA impact gun to loosen stuck blades. Old schoolers just get a longer wrench. This deck may cut again with the blades right side up. 1
953 nut 69,696 #26859 Posted 2 hours ago Knew you would win the battle. Ed, using that long pipe I think I would grab a flex head rather than a ratchet.

Almost worth its weight in gold around the shop and farm.

Only took a few months to: a) realize how often it is just what I needed, and b) that it should only be used with impact-rated sockets (no need to ask about how I learned that).
