What have you done to your Wheel Horse today?

Me and the neighbor loaded a few of them up and took them to Portland, IN antique engine and tractor show.

Spent the better part of the day riding around the swap meet area and picking up a few things along the way.

Only managed to cover about half of the swap meet area and one pass through the antique engine area.

Huge event and it doesn't even officially open until Wednesday.

Added some liquid ballast and installed some new front wheel bearings on “Vince” the 1257. Installed some thrust bearings on front spindles also. Did improve ease of  steering.

Tomorrow, I'll see if I can get some pictures that show the massive scale of the event. Garden tractors are only a small segment.

Acres and acres of swap meet vendors, antique tractors, hit and miss engines, food vendors, consignment barn...

More pictures in a separate post.

Finished up on the C160 front end today replaced tie rods with some l had made a while back. Also added thrust bearings on the spindles. Good thing I had the homegrown tie rods ready, one of the old ones fell apart when I took it off :). Steers way easier than before even with the wider wheels and 5 rib V61 tires.

Got the hood painted up today for the C120. Now that my Simplicity mower has brakes I can take the C120 out of service and pull the rest of the sheet metal. Hopefully all the tin will be painted before temps drop.

Today I got the group out took the deck off the 308 and pressure washed and armor alled them in preparation for the get together. the 308 was having an issue so I ended up pushing it back to it's spot. It's probably gas I need to get gas before I go.

I guess I just don't give my work enough credit and would rather the original or repop

I mean I do plan to round the edges but it's not very thick. 1/8 flat stock with another small patch of left over peice down the spine in hopes it will make it rigid enough.

I also know what I put my old 414-8 threw and I snapped your standard bolts easy. Then when I went to grade 8 bolts I started bending and wallering out the holes and bending lift arm and plow bracket pretty bad.

To be far I was young but cleared a solid acre or acre and a half of rough land hill sides.
