Now that were some of you handymen with welder could make a good old fashioned manure spreader.

I've spred 2 truck/trailer loads on the lawn this spring.

Trina and her momma did some firewood splitting and stacking today.

The Ugly Bruce tractor was elected for towing the new Boss splitter.

Great work yo are lucky to have good help...but I am too old for all that work.  5 tons of Anthracite delivered is a lot less work:P

I burned coal when I was a kid. I don't know the tonnage but we used to get a couple homemade bins filled that took up the space of one cord of wood, each.

We would start the fire with wood and keep it going with anthracite.

I wouldn't be opposed to using that again if we were to set ourselves up. But the firewood right now is free except for the fuel and maintenance on the machines used to process it.

Trying to sort out which tractors will pull different responsibilities/tasks, but decided the heavy weights belonged on the C-160. Thing runs sweet after putting the carb back together today! Actually, all three are running excellent!

I've pretty much designated the No Name to lawn duty. Guessing the 160 will be my go-to for the MacKissic chipper. Then this winter one of these two will be sporting a 48" snowplow and the other will be on standby with the snowblower.

Made a trailer hitch for my 520H. I did get it painted but will have to wait on paint to dry b4 getting it mounted to tractor :D. I made this out of stuff I had laying around but if I would have had to buy all my metal new I would just order one from wheelhorsepartsandmore, I don’t believe you could build one much cheaper if you had to purchase the metal.

Nice I had seen those hitches before but didn't realize he made some to sell. I noticed the angle iron is turned different than mine and don't know if it would have worked with the hydro filter, but it might not make any difference but that is the reason I turned mine the way I did. Like I mentioned above it would be hard to build one yourself if you had to buy all the materials and come out much cheaper than buying one already made and probably be going in the hole if you figured your time in it.

That's why I bought... instead of building.

I do still need to modify one sometime though.

Cinnamon Horse has a very high front end so the hitch points down.

Finished and mounted receiver hitch today. Worked out great. Will flip hitch over and it will be just about perfect height for my trailers. :handgestures-thumbupright:. I had mentioned having angle iron turned differently then the one @76c12091520h Brian Badman sells but pretty sure either way will work with  the hydro filter on the Eaton 1100 rear.

:text-yeahthat:  if you flip that hitch over, the hitch ball will probably ABOVE the axle centerline.

Pulling something attached to a tractor above the drive axle centerline encourages the tractor to flip over backwards.  Be very very careful if you use it this way.

Leave the toung jack an inch or two above the ground - that will act as a wheelie bar to help prevent a back flip.

The hitch I built for my 14-8 places the hitch ball above the axle.  The front end gets really light, really quick.  This is encouraging me to make a hitch to mount to the front of the tractor.

I've used at least four different garden tractor hitches.

All four have the ball mount on the high side.

To counteract the light front end I have the big chipper on the Cinnamon Horse. I've also used a 100 lb plus home made weight.

Yup.  That will work - up to a point.  But usually that point is farther into the crazy zone of tractor operation than we dare to go......

Not me. I ain't set quite right.

I've pulled loads of firewood up outta the forest that were well over 1000 lbs. Many times.

me thinks the ball/tongue will still be even to top of axle and I tried making the hitch as tight as possible to tractor. Actually going to drill a new hole for the hitch pin and slid ball in another inch or so that will help also, I hope. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:.. This is going to be my firewood hauler at least thats the plan anyhow. Ive pulled some pretty heavy loads with a hitch that I made that goes on the sleeve type hitch and this one isn't much taller if any at all, just hated putting all that tongue weight on my lift cables :D.
