I don't know the tonnage but we used to get a couple homemade bins filled that took up the space of one cord of wood, each. We would start the fire with wood and keep it going with anthracite. I wouldn't be opposed to using that again if we were to set ourselves up. But the firewood right now is free except for the fuel and maintenance on the machines used to process it.
