I wonder how much $$$ Firestone payed in towing charges and how hard was it to get paid?

8ntruck 9,021 #26105 Posted May 23 I'm kind of looking for a similar style tire for my C-195. I've found 15" truck tires with a tread pattern I like, a good O.D., but they are too skinny by about 2".
sqrlgtr 3,160 #26106 Posted May 24 (edited) Tried on a set of Carlisle 23x9.50’s on the 312-8, had 8.50 Dicos on it to start with. Kinda digging the looks so may keep them on but will diffidently have to paint the wheel's silver to match. I cant even remember what these came off of. Also took the blades off of the 42” RD deck but didnt get around to sharpening them. They looked like they were turned up on the ends but checked pretty flat on welding table. Forgot to take pics of blades........... Edited May 24 by sqrlgtr

ML3 2,372 #26112 Posted May 24 Last one to get running after winter storage. 753 wouldn't start. Ignition issues. New coil, condenser, spark plug & wire. Changed oil also after repeated engine cranking & flooding. Runs good now. 3

Achto 32,035 #26116 Posted May 25 (edited) My recently acquired B100 was leaking fluid from the right axle seal. Took the tranny apart today in order to investigate why. Think I may have found the issue. Managed to get the tranny washed out & cleaned up. All ready to put it back together as soon as my parts arrive. I'm surprised the axle is usable.

MainelyWheelhorse 2,786 #26120 Posted May 25 Yesterday, after work I tried out the 42" RD on the 308 needless to say it wasn't a fan so I swapped the 42" to the 312 and the 37"SD mostly to the 308. the 37" is physically on the 308 except for the belt which is loose no matter what you do. after swapping one of the decks in 15-20 min I mowed the rest of my test area yesterday with the 312. I left the 308 deck issues for today. I think I need a belt as it was routed right and the deck didn't seem bent anywhere. I'd say its about time for a belt as its been at least four years since i got one. Today's other project was parts storage. I got a wood box from my parents. Four cardboard boxes of parts later, it still has room. I freed up a lot of space doing that. It's been a rather productive day. 1

ML3 2,372 #26124 Posted May 26 Went to mow after work today. 654 was a no crank/start. 1st time its ever let me down in the 3.5yrs I've had it. Pushed it from back shed into garage, luckily its downhill. Look at at when I get a chance. Had to break out walk behind mower. Bought it last year & today was 1st time I used it. Had to pay up quite a bit to get the model with a Kohler engine.
Fj40z 176 #26125 Posted May 27 Technically wasn’t today but this past weekend. Changed the oil and put in a new spark plug and air filter on the 314-8. For the plug I went with the Champion RH-10C. Also picked up new belts for the deck and the mule drive but haven’t put those on yet. Watched a few videos on installing those and I hope they’re as simple to install as they seem. Haven’t pulled the trigger and bought the drive belt yet, seems like that could be a job that might end up leading to much bigger things that I might not be up for quite yet. Bought some new rear deck wheels but going to have to do some research on getting those mounted properly. The new bolts they came with don’t seem quite long enough and tightening the bolts up any at all makes them so tight they won’t spin. Really digging this thing so far though, amazing how smooth the Kohler seems even with 1100 hours. Idles insanely smooth, little hard to start if it’s sat for a few days but man do I love it. Really only downfall for me is I like to mow a little on the high side and it seems like around 3” is about as high as you’ll get.
