My strawberries never produced well, too much shade, so I tilled them out and planted some spreading ground cover from another location that needed to be thinned out.   Anyone know what this plant is.   It is hardy, spreads quick, and chokes out any weeds.

Then removed the tiller and installed the 48SD.  The hoist sure makes it easy to lift the tractor and roll the deck under from the front.

I went to the lumberyard with my new utility trailer and picked up some 4x8 plywood and dimensional lumber to build the cabinet for the Murphy bed.

Got it home and used Morgan, the 14-8, to move the utility trailer to the lake house door.  That was a whole lot easier than fighting the 8' lumber directly into the 6' bed of the truck.

Since i had Clyde, the C-195's battery on the charger for a while yesterday, I decided to try to start him again today.  Turned the key, let the fuel pump come up to pressure, then hit the starter.  He fired up in about three revolutions.  Took him out for a lap of the yard, then back into the shed.  With some rearranging, I'll be able to get the recently acquired roller C-195 into the shed next to Clyde.

Just so you know, if it gets out of control it can be mowed like grass and it will recover well.

It truly like any plant depends on what species or strawberry you are growing and where you live one a weather and climate latitude ok. Find the best that grow in your climate. Up here in Canada we have a few species ok and there are farms up here that have perfected berries larger then or closer in size to a tangerine, I mean a very large tangerine ok but those are almost always a 1 crop per season. On the other hand there is a strawberry plant that produces berries all summer long. Both are ever so delicious ok and depending on how you care for them both are as sweet as any. Everbearing strawberries will in fact although smaller berries but will give far more then a one crop plant. But research ok, thats your job smiles and tips a beer to ya friend. Im a strawberry eating freak hahahahahah

I tried ever-bearing strawberries, when they first ripened they were good, in a couple of weeks there were numerous bugs and later every bug in the world were on them.

The dark discolored areas are, or may have been, wet. All that buildup can be quite corrosive on the metal parts....

Maybe the mice had good taste and avoided green tractors?? :confusion-shrug:

Next was the 1973 10/8 speed. This one is locked up tight!

Pulled the shroud…not as nice as the C-81 :handgestures-thumbdown:. Really packed! Found some fur and whatnot was jammed between the starter gear and flywheel, she freed up once that was removed!
This one will need more attention before a battery goes in it for sure. But not seized is a win for today :handgestures-thumbupright:

Good call on that one as that's what you thought it might be.

And it's something about those little 8s as it seems they all want to run

That is why I tent the trailer and st off a fumigation bomb before unloading anything new into the shop.  Never know what type of critter could be in the tins.

WHX??

Guy at the BS had four of the old style mufflers for a real good price so Achto and I cleaned him out. Swapped out the strait out silver one for a down and out. Thought black looked better. First oil change as long as she's in.

The dipstick on this C-160 was wired shut.  It had some crazy crankcase pressure!

Yes 4x4 522xi on a CadTrac style sub frame, loader ready.

Two pumps one for traction the other is for the steering and loader.

Last winters / spring project.

No build thread, some details mixed into this thread.
