While reading through the string on 520-8's, I had an interesting (Dangerous? Dumb?) thought - we've got a lever steer registry.  Would there be any value of building a registry for 520-8's and another for C-195's?  Both of these are low volume models.

Comments?

I’d be up for that being a limited production machine. Unfortunatly I bet many of the stickers with the serial numbers have faded or gotten ruined somehow.

My decal is holding in there still…

Production numbers are something I really wish the Pond Family and later ownership companies would have released.

It would be neat for us minutiae lovers and also settle some long standing questions.

You think that would work for driving out the pin of  balance gears ⚙️   ?

I just used a punch and hammer to drive them out

That's what I did before but I'll be damned if I could find my correct sized punch. I've ordered a couple types of steel rods for which I'll cut some pieces off and use that as a punch.

Why would you want to pull out those pins EB? We already know they can be pulled without removing the pins.

Not on a K341 unless you remove the other parts or break the gears.

I don't want to do either of those things.

IMHO the safest and easiest way is to drive the pins through unto the crankcase.

I get the complete Rigid Hitch kit which contains all 4 bearings, 4 races, 2 seals, 2 cotter pins and 2 hub caps for $23.61.  Even better prices can be found if you search for: 280451-2.

@Achto Yeah, It’s a mainstay here too. I figured with the upper dash being as complicated as it is that would be the best route to attempt to replicate it.

I put another layer of dust on Morgan, the 14-8.  I mowed what seems like 1/2 of the neighborhood.  Mowed our two double lots, the neighbor's lot next door that just has a garage on it, and parts of the neighbor across the street 'cause they haven't been here yet this spring and their grass was 8 to 10 inches tall.

I still haven't  had time this spring to do a good cleanup and lube on the Wheel Horses.  Looks like it might be a couple of weeks before I'll have the time.
