Holy waffle irons Batman! What kinda spacers did that need?

The wheels themselves did not need any spacers however to get the seat to not rub on the top of the tires I stacked probably about a half inch of precision shims below the seat pan to get it to work temporarily but it did still rub on turns so for a more permanent solution you might need to raise your seat close to 2 inches depending on how much you weigh.

We spent several hours today doing garden prep.

Removed many rocks.

Several were right around the limits of us and our machines.

Made good progress.

Before:

Here's the Double Spike Ripper I set up.

Transport mode.

In use mode.

This was the largest rock we moved today. Note the size in comparison to a rear tire.

Trina's Military Tribute Tractor in use. Chickens helping.

After.

We'll be doing more Ripper Spike work later this week. Deeper set.

Looks nice just remember Mother Nature will push up a fresh batch of rocks over this next winter

Absolutely true. Every year.

The Ripper Spike will be a consistently used annual or biannual tool.

Today after work, I put my new fuel pump on the spare M12. Yes, I know it’s upside down due to accidentally ordering the pump for an M20…I figured I’d try it as logically it might work as everything but the finger to pump is the same as the old one. Now to test that theory tomorrow.

I dunno.  We roast our leftover peeps over the burning Christmas tree on July 4th to make s'mores.

Today, on this nice day, I got the cobwebs out of both tractors. I did some spring clean out in front of my house, swept out my basement/workshop as it had a bunch of mud in it. And took the chains off the 308. I’m thinking about putting AG’s or a wider tire for the chains, so I only need one set for both tractors.

Today I ordered the decals for covers on the spare M12 from Redo your Horse, and gave it a touch up.

Last fall I did a quick fab up of a hitch for my Cyclone Rake that worked out great. Tonight, I decided to add a 2" receiver and supports. Welds aren't pretty but it passed jumping up and down on the hitch without flexing.

Stuck is stuck. So long as it works, that's what matters.

And- looks good from here!

Today after work, my father and I got the fuel pump on the M12 straightened out and working. We combined the good parts from the old pump and the new and it worked. It ran quite a while longer after the video to the extent you could unhook the battery and it still ran. Now to tweak a few things and figure out what to do with it😎

I have fought a fuel problem with my 414-8 for weeks.

It started not revving when on throttle-up from mid-throttle.  Air filter was good, the Walbro carb only has idle adjustment and high-speed adjuster.

I decided to rebuild.  Two jets in the kit, plus a clip & a spring for the jets.  I would either get no gas, or overflowing through the carb throat, regardless of combination and float setting.  Today I put the original jet back & adjusted the float and no more issue with fuel level.

I also found the mechanical fuel pump was failing.  I went with a cheap electric one, but ordered 2 after reading about their reliability.

I ran new fuel line, added a ball valve fuel shut off, and mounted the pump.

I drove the tractor from my shop to my shed to fill the gas tank and it ran fine. When I went to drive it back to the shop, it wouldn't run. Fuel pump died!

I decided that I would mount it better this time, and I created a better block off plate for the old mechanical fuel pump with a second plate atop it to mount the electric fuel pump. I routed the electric cables back under the dash and connected them there. Everything seems to be running properly now. I'm hoping this pump lasts a little longer than the last.

I would be better to mount the electric fuel pump on the frame making it lower than the fuel tank outlet. Electric pumps are good at pushing fuel but they suck at sucking.

I was going to suggest the same. Also, if you have concerns regarding the reliability of the low cost pumps, it’s probably not a good idea to mount it to the engine, which has the potential to “Shake” it to bits!!!
