Tuneup

Was supposed to finish the generator yesterday but started on fertilizing and, among lots of other things, ended with mowing the back lawn. Chose the C-125 42SD over the 516 48SD just so I could hear that nicely bored 301 tear into it. That engine makes wonderful music. I'll get to that gen wiring today . . .

Trying to get the Raider dependable, didn't get a chance to check it out good when I got it. The wiring was all rapped together and taped, the two best connections were put together with wire nuts. I just tore it a part trashed almost of the electrical and all the existing wiring. Kept the lighter and PTO switch should have trashed them too.  Something was draining the battery and it was dead when I got home with it. I charged up the original battery it was only a year old. it's drained two batteries in a week. Disconnected the lighter and PTO switch and bypassed them. I'll see it the battery stays up now.  The fuel pump is also giving up so I'll need one of them. I'll keep the lighter in place but it will not get hooked up. It is charging t 14.3 volts at the battery when running.

It’s amazing what a shot of red out of a rattle can does for something rusty and grubby :handgestures-thumbupright:

So much of my junk would agree. Every tractor I have was "swamp fresh", and a shot of paint definitely brings them out!

You don’t like em?? Kind of a machinery gray, my 315-8 has the same color wheels. I didn’t paint the ones on the B-80, and they definitely need to be re-done, but I did paint the ones on the 315-8

Mike, I like your wheel color. I've tried several times to buy the same paint locally, but it's always sold out.

This wheel color business has motivated me to redo the paint on the B-80 wheels. I didn’t paint these originally. But the paint in the front rims is peeling off and the rear rims were only painted on the outside :eusa-think: …weird.
So a good wire wheel job and a soapy water bath has em prepped. Once they dry they’ll get a couple coats of Gloss Smoke Gray.

It looks like the holes in the side supports are now blocked by the plate you added??? Or is it an illusion   ??

They are. I'll never have a sickle bar mower and that the only thing I know of that uses them. They will be blocked more when the frame braces go in.
