'Round here the BBT has been busy all day as usual. Her and her Mom spent some time moving seasoned wood from the front yard to the basement. Then from the woods to the front yard. 

Maybe 14 to 16 small loads total. 

Also split up a little more.

Finally got round to swapping the fabric belt on Dugs hydraulic pump to a more "rubbery" one for better grip. Had been slipping when under a heavy load. We'll see if it helped when I go to pick up another heafty load.

Here is my farm fresh 753 and after it was washed.    Have my best driver (aka: grandson #7) pulling my deuce backward..........deuce is in 1st gear low transfer with 6 wheel drive engaged.  The power of these WH's is just amazing.

We took a walk into the forest yesterday. 

A few more beech trees to section up and split/stack. 

 

We'll be good to go unless it's a wicked cold or long season.

Funny thing is, the Farmers Almanac is usually more accurate at predicting the weather for a whole year than the local weather people are at predicting the weather for 3 days.

Bought a 1996 314 Hydro with hydro lift on Monday .  50th Anniversary edition.  684 hours and pretty nice.  I didn’t really need it but the price was just begging me to pick it up.  I did something I haven’t done in a while, I test drove it and mowed with it on Monday snd thought about it overnight.  I could not believe how clean this 314 was inside and how well the motor ran.  The transmission works very good too!

 

Went and picked it up on Tuesday!   Got a call while I was driving home asking if I had a 42 inch mower deck.  Sold it before I got home with the tractor on my trailer!  Painted up the muffler with heat paint and changed the spark plug and air cleaner.   Put hi temp heat paint on the muffler to make it last. 
 

Picked up my New Old Stock Firestone Town and Country tires today.  Bought these from Squonk and they are nice.  Put tubes in them .  
 

Painted a slot hitch that I picked up at the Gettysburg big show.

Nice find!! I have a 96 314-8 and  96 416-H. I would love to find a reasonably priced 314-H. More than enough power for the 48" deck, but nowhere near as thirsty as the Onan. I can't find a happy speed for the 8 speed, 3rd hi is too fast, and 2nd hi is too slow, with the hydro I can get somewhere in between.

Chip61 , yes the 314-8 is a great tractor. I have a 92 or 93 with a recycling deck on it.  I use with a tiller and snowblower.  I think I may try my 314 hydro with the snowblower this winter.

Where I am it’s 92* with 65% humidity. A feels like temp of 106* ……. I’m staying inside.

It was 74 with 52% humidity and felt like 90 degrees earlier this am,
