I got my Duromax 18 HP Engine a couple of days ago.

GOD it's ginormous...

Anybody got any ideas on how to get the Duromax mounted on the tractor? Right now, it will not fit because of the hood... I am guessing something like moving the hood out (obviously taking it off from around the steering column). It is a very big engine...

Working on getting a billet rod now... 139$...:happy-bouncyredfire:

Is it really that big, it's 440cc, no bigger then a kohler apart from the OHV system.

On which tractor you mounting it?

You guys are going to love this:

So, I have been doing a butt load of work with the old '67 L-157.

Made a road where there was no road.

Brought in dirt, gravel, rock, stone, (over 50 trailer-fulls of dirt alone). This path did not exist before, and was just an uncrossable ditch.

Ripped a canal all the way up to the house for my pond aerator air hose (4 inch conduit). Then I put the dirt back with my dozer blade.100_0929.JPG.5a3c29c7fa3741555bf6b9c893322e9a.JPG

And finally, I put the old girl back in the barn with Johnny and Danger Ranger... (You can barely see the black horse, but it is in there!)

Right now... with my Tillotson engines, I am pushing out a conservative estimate of 25 hp...

My Duromax will make over 40...

Wasn't really feelin the rectangular LED lights so got me some nice circular once. Think looks much better! OK so lights are even but in this photo looks like my horse might have a lazy eye.... 🤔🤦‍♂️

Honestly, 1 of thos rectangle LEDs was supposed to go behind the headlight cover but there just isn't any room between the lens and air filter to really work with so I'm thinking imma put (already bought them) leds in the engine bay so can light up the bay and lens at night. Not practical but the cool factor I think if did math right goes up by like 27%?

The Horse got its exercise today hauling the trailer with the dock sections down from storage to the lakefront.

Squirted another coat of stain on to the top side of the dock to even out the color of the old planks and the new replacement planks I installed last summer.

My wife's cousin came up to his place yesterday.  He has lakefront two doors down from ours.  While out with the dog on our morning 'parimiter patrol', he was out weed whacking.  While we were passing the time of day, he asked when the last time the Wheel Horse was tuned up.  Turns out that the Wheel Horse was causing interference on his tv.  Said it pixelated all of the channels.  He is using a UHF antenna, not cable for his tv.

Anybody else see this?  Not sure if I put a resistor plug in last time I replaced it.  Would that make a difference?

Tonight, he came over and said that my Wagner electric sprayer was also messing up his tv.  I'm beginning to think it is an antenna issue, not my equipment.

stick to the plastic

If a properly prepared plastic is fairly hard and doesn't get bent/moved much Rust-Oleum 2X will stick well.

Started on a bit of front blade maintenance and a bit of a test. Gloss front paint. Lubed everything. And…

New concrete driveways this year for two of the three I plow… so going to try a pvc wear bar. Previous asphalt drives were crap so didn’t care… metal worked fine… now I’m gonna care…

Had pvc in garage from another project so it’s a free test… have enough for five 4” wide by 42” long sections… I’m guessing it’s gonna wear pretty fast, but I tip the blade as far forward as it can and will run it “light”, so we’ll see…

Will post completed job when the paint dries and I get her mounted up…
