What have you done to your Wheel Horse today?

Recommended Posts

WHX??

Threw a Brinly  hitch on the plow mule I got from Lowell at plow day. Had to saw the old hitch pin off.  Easier than pulling all the weights off to get at with an impact hammer, sides I know a guy that makes them.

I got the welder out this afternoon and made some progress on my de-thatcher attachment.   Here is a picture of  the 3rd fitting.  Lift linkage and gage wheels, and some trimming for clearances yet to go.

I like it.

Of course with a new implement you can justify a new tractor purchase.

No justification needed, buy another and then figure out what it is for!

While I wait for Senior parts...

I spun around the heavy lugged tire from Uncle Jim.  The were both “passenger side” tires.  Ripped the tube, so I replaced the valve stem and pressured it up for monitoring.

Last time i used the Sweeper to collect Leaf, i realized, i must interrupt very often to dump.

When leaf is collected with the sweeper stuffed after it was mulched before

the third of ammount can be collected until you must dump first time.

I wanna keep my Mowerdeck as it is in Original Condition, but i see on my last mowing with the new Blades,

And the removed sideshields, it is a hell of a Turbine on sideexchange.

So my idea is to cover the rear and drain it just with 2 directed channels, where i will collect a Tube and send it into a Trailer,

so i can ride a longer time and clean a bigger Areal, and have to dump maybe just once.

not much interrupt’s on my Ride while dump, Seattime is important...

it is just a Try but maybe it‘s working better than i believe of it ain‘t work at all an my idea is Stupid,

however i will give it a Try.

I use my rear discharge deck to mulch the leaves before the sweeper picks them up.  Depending on the type of leaves or moisture content, it can get too heavy to unload and also damage the sweeper.

That was a Way i did normally before, means mulching before sweep.

The Way i will go now, is use a easy flip- Trailer, where the dump go in.

So it will be collected in the Trailer ( open to build) where dump was blown in.

When that works so far, than i can easily dump on the Forrest at my allowed Dump port.

Easy and simple doing with some Seattime on the Horse - it‘s a try, but we will see if and how it works.

Ouuuuch that hurts....

i should maybe next thing plan firstly on Pc in 3D ahead, how i did it with my FEL- Project.

While i start to finish my Work i think to myself - huh something is Wrong,
than i see the mistake .

waaaahhhh - feel like an complete idiot because of that construction mistake.
i didn‘t doublecheck the clearance to Rear tyres... Dang...

Much too close, no hose will fit, the first thought was in the middle section,
but than i thought it may be a better idea to go more to the outside edge i didn‘t doublecheck it.

painful mistake

They really aren't that bad of a set one doesn't mind they are mismatched.  Like you said Kev in the plow field ain't nobody gonna care long as they move the tractor.

Wheel weights are finished, will be installed on the 315 tractor tomorrow. Got a coat of primer on the 62' hood and as you can see the rear fenders have been painted for a week or so now. They are sitting in the background. Will have hood painted tomorrow. Then have to pull the predator out and disassemble for a quick paint job while the weather is nice.

I went through the magical box of spare briggs parts.  I knew I had enough to build one spare engine but looks like I have enough to build 2.  So I cleaned up and painted the parts universal gloss black.  I know the one block needs rings, do that over winter.  It's nice just have them just in case something engine less shows up.  These are pre 1964 143302 and 143402 5 3/4hp.   I have no tractor restorations this winter.  I am planning the engine department all organized.

I mulch and sweep at the same time, 42" rear discharge deck and a 42" lawn sweeper.

Seems i must do it that Way, until i have finalized my new Deck rearplate again.

My biggest problem was that the Surface is extremely uneven, it differs sometimes to more as 8 cm on the brooms

between touching the ground or be just in air with a lot of gap, so a successful work only with the broom’s from the Sweeper is nearly impossible on smaller things, a collecting only with the Sweeper is so on some areas heavy to realize, even while riding crosswise.

I like the Seattime on my Horses no doubts, but i also want that the Work is done niceley after.

The suction of the Deck with the changed Blades now is a Blast, i wanna use that winning effect for a easier Collecting.

i think to rebuilt it again from Scratch, because it‘s just screwed and the Prototype was made of Aluminum, 3 mm thick.

HERDER, noting your carbon issue , relates to significant ENGINE VARNISH ISSUES, coming  from oil related contamination ,  EVER HERD OF RISLONE OIL TREATMENTS ?  their products really work , using this zinc , has really transformed my 3 kohlers , https://www.amazon.com/Rislone-4405-Supplement-Concentrate-Treatment/dp/B0075559UY/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAqJn9BRB0EiwAJ1SztQtJiWn0BhPeNXbh3i0nqtbiMqS2DX06jw7k0Fv6xuv1d6vSujuXNRoCIEMQAvD_BwE&hvadid=323447289259&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9003310&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=12791173623736993426&hvtargid=kwd-301586437419&hydadcr=6364_9585392&keywords=rislone+oil&qid=1604765701&sr=8-1&tag=googhydr-20 , if you use it , you will shortly notice the oil going black , that's  cleaning out varnish , and the engine running easier and smoother, leave it in till almost black , then hot drain it, and do it again , your engine also likes 30 wt rotella oil , and 5-30 over winter , pete

Had time to de-carbon the cylinder, adjust the valves and gave her an oil change.  No more taping and this little magnum runs like a top.  I am starting to like this one.
