JCM 8,658 #5977 Posted August 4, 2020 (edited) About 6 weeks ago removed the motion control assembly and completely disassembled it. Today cleaned all shafts and associated parts, picked up new nyliner plastic bushings for reassembly and anything else that appeared worn. Cleaned and painted PTO parts and E-brake hardware. Polished pto rod housing, mule drive,motion control and trans engage/ disengage lever for the 420. Getting closer to a trail ride test run. You guys are welcome to take as many pictures or videos of me as you like as long as you understand I am not camera friendly. I don't have the talent or training to break a wine glass with my voice but I can sure as anything screw up a camera lens just by having a pointed at me. I'd like to have my own Charger Hydro down there but it's torn apart at the moment. We'll see how the next few weeks plays out with my work and hiking. And test drive:) my first full lap around shop without stopping to fill carb bowl back up:) No..I haven't got the correct battery to fit inside my new box. ArturHawk 174 #5984 Posted August 5, 2020 A little while ago I changed my C-120's transmission fluid because it was full of water. Recently, I found out that the shifter boot may be the culprit. Bought new ones anyway and when I got out to change it this is what I found. Needless to say, i think I found my problem. Also got on the Raider 10 and tuned the carb for the new engine. One owner, unmolested.....has a bad left front hoof though, I am going to put some dressing on it after dinner... poor thing..... Paint on the dash is really nice, and the overall paint on the machine is pretty darn nice too....Going to give her a salad dressing finish, then go through all of the fluids. They all look full, and like honey. AMAZING. If it not being indoors its whole life things may have turned out different for this Horse. Now its home to where it will be able to graze on non ethanol fuels, Lucas oil,and very special lubricants.... LOOK WHAT FOLLOWED ME HOME HONEY.......................I also told you about the skeleton...and some other priceless items in the yard...check out the Skee Horse...awesome. They appreciate it. and some light Oil to greasing moving Parts to break loose. the next day‘s i will rework the Oil drain pipe, because it becomes loose. Then i will fill Engine Oil in and Gear Oil and do a compression test, after that i will do a first Testride, to see how the Engine performs before i do start the whole rework. 3 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

chip61 655 #5998 Posted August 7, 2020 I have an Automatic10 and the lift lever and pto lever come back so far (you can see they are at more of an angle than the newer C series) that they actually get in the way when I get on the tractor if I don't lower the lever. The RD is mechanically perfect but trashy - restoring this winter. Added some of that slick ZDDP from Rislone from the USPS and ran the front lawn. Sweetness.
