Irv 115 #1 Posted February 20, 2009 Hey Guys, was just at Lowe's and they had real nice tractor seats on clearance, reg. price $44.95 marked down to $24.95. Bought the 2 they had. Be sure to ask for the senior or veterans discount also, another 10%. They are a fairly universal fit and list Wheelhorse.
Operator 7 #2 Posted February 21, 2009 Nice seats with a plastic back and bottom with maybe 8 holes for different bolt patterns? Is that the kind? That I just bought at Northern for like $50.00. Is that the kind. Randy
Irv 115 #3 Posted February 21, 2009 These are nice thick high backs with metal pan and back and drain holes.
WHC-125 4 #4 Posted February 21, 2009 I bought one of them for my C-125 and it is soooo comfortable . My sister works at Lowes so she gets 10% off the sale  .
Operator 7 #5 Posted February 21, 2009 OK different kind, mine is comfy but it's base is plastic, Good enough for the GT-1848. Lowes right? Road trip. Randy

whfan74 2,071 #7 Posted February 21, 2009 Well Irv thank you for the head's up. So needless to say I was out the door before the computer was able to shut down. Unfortunately my local Lowes store does not carry the replacement seats so I am out of luck on that one. Good luck to the rest of you....sounds like a pretty good deal! WHC-125 4 #8 Posted February 21, 2009 Scott, Looks like its time for a road trip
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,531 #9 Posted February 21, 2009 The seat that Lowes sells is the best one. It is made by Arnold and it has a metal pan with two drain holes in the seat for water to drain. I can tell you that this is by far the best seat I have found however up here in the northeast at lowes they are a seasonal item and they do not even show them anywhere on they're website. I basically had to make a roadtrip after calling each Lowes to find them. Late last fall I found two about 1 hour away and i went to buy them. They are the best and they look good too. Red Horse 33 #12 Posted February 21, 2009 These seats ought to be the ones made by Michigan Seat Co. They were the OEM manufacturers to WH. The only problem you may run into is the bolt /hole pattern. Wheel Horse had their own pattern so you may have to modify your seat a bit so that the seat bolts line up with the holes. If you can't get a cheap seat at Lowe's then just check on line . There are some similar price deals going on that Lowe's has to offer and the seat comes to your front door.
bustedglass 1 #13 Posted February 21, 2009 I put one of those seats on my little B211-3 (shown on my avatar). Great seat, real comfortable .
ronscat 2 #14 Posted February 22, 2009 I went by my local store. They didn't have the seats but did have this on sale for $49: MTD FastAttach Manual Sleeve Hitch Item #: 89076 Model: OEM-190-608 $197.31 Any one modified one to fit their old Wheelhorse? I need some kind of hitch on my one WH that has no hitch. Ron
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,531 #15 Posted February 22, 2009 Those Lowes (Arnold made) seats have the correct holes. PS- Chris, Thanks for posting my old C175, it did come out nice.
wingrider 21 #16 Posted February 23, 2009 Well I just returned from Lowes with 2 new seats, they really look good. I sure am glad I ran across this post yesterday because I was looking for a couple seats to put on 2 of my tractors, so thanks for the great info on them. Thanks Gary B
HorseFixer 2,013 #17 Posted February 23, 2009 That is a nice looking seat! Wonder If I could adapt on the 953 thanks for the tip!
Brrly1 1,146 #18 Posted February 23, 2009 Hey Duke I talked with Bill Jenkins here about a week or so, anyway he told me that he has found the guy that had redone the 953-1054 seats for him and he will have them available possibly soon. Thought you might want to know that. Burly
Nick 13 #19 Posted February 23, 2009 Ron, Good buy on the hitch. Ive seen those locally and always thought they would have to be good for a project. http://images.lowes.com/product/037049/037049930562.jpg
ronscat 2 #20 Posted February 23, 2009 So.....I wasn't gonna buy the hitch, but for $49..... I had looked last week and I didn't see the seat. I did need a seat for my one Wheel Horse. Did a little job this morning and decided to check back on the hitch. I got the sales lady to let me open the box to see exactly how the hitch is made. I can make it work on one of my tractors and told the lady I would take the one hitch. She asked if I had looked at the other sales items in lawn and garden......there was the seat. I get to checkout. The lady scans the seat - $24.99. She scans the hitch - $15.68 sleeve hitch. She looks at the box - $49 on three sides! She asks another lady to check her computer with the sleeve hitch code. Her computer says $15.68 also. They had two hitches now they have none....
Nick 13 #21 Posted February 24, 2009 Ron, Now thats finding deals. Even in parts for other projects the hitch is worth that.

Kyforeman 0 #23 Posted February 24, 2009 Well with all the talk about the seats and me having to go to lowes today i took a quick look and found that they had 2 left. I ended up getting them for 20.00 each by using a lowes card and getting a veterans discount. Didn't see any hitches though, might need to check out the stores around us. These look to be a very nice seat an although not as tall as the high back on my 520H it will do until i can get it recovered this spring. Thanks for the heads up on the seats. this forum just saved me another 50$$
qd-16 14 #24 Posted February 26, 2009 Went to lowe's today looking for these cheap seats. I got the last one they had, the box was torn and taped together but was happy with what was inside. Now the hard decision is "which tractor do I want to put it on??"
ronscat 2 #25 Posted February 26, 2009 I got the last one my store had today. Also got the veterans's discount on this one, didn't know that had the discount on the one I bought last week. Ron
