AMC RULES 36,941 #26 Posted November 29, 2017 First, open up a nice path from the magic shed... then, out along side of the house... to the 75' of front driveway to the street. Depending on the accumulation, either a light duty round hood... or, a big 520 for when the going gets tuff. 4
Chris G 3,274 #27 Posted November 29, 2017 My horses have to clean my driveway and the neighbors. Both about 100-125 feet from road to garage. Then a squared parking area for neighbor roughly about 30ft x 25ft. Then i make my paths to dog run and cage. Then last i clear the sidewalk from the corner near my house down the road about 100 yards and stop at a empty lot with no home and turn around.
bmsgaffer 2,043 #28 Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) I do my drive and the other two that you also see in the picture. Each are two car wide by 60-80ft long. It looks a bit shorter in the picture due to the very wide angle lens. Its also a fair bit steeper than it looks, which makes for some fun times. UncleJerm76 103 #29 Posted December 8, 2017 Jealous of you guys who get to play in the snow. About the only thing my WH will ever clear out in the winter is its own throat. Last winter I think it got down to a whopping 69° for about 2 days. 1
953 nut 51,509 #30 Posted December 8, 2017 Had six inches so far today, another three to six on it's way they tell us. The forecast was for a dusting, that is a lot of dust! 2 1

Sarge 3,462 #32 Posted December 9, 2017 We get surprises like that here pretty often - their last "whoops" missed the forecast by a foot of the heavy wet stuff . Forecast for 2"-3" , got 13" and high winds . Those little clipper systems coming down from Canada can have some weird effects on the MidWest . Sarge

In a couple of places it is close to a 100% grade (45 degrees) which can be a challenge. I have to plow down hill then return to the top and make another pass. Fortunately we only get snow a couple of times a year and it is usually sunny after the snowfall so the driveway dries once plowed. Wow that is quite a grade you have there
tpuppo3 28 #34 Posted December 10, 2017 Never removed snow while catching a buzz until yesterday, this tractor was worth every penny. We didn't get a lot, maybe 4 or 5 inches tops, but I ran it through two passes-once during the storm and again the next day. I'm impressed how much this tractor can push-even plowing up hill. I wasn't sure how she'd handle it, I was expecting to have to push to the side, back up, repeat. Not the case, wheels didn't even slip. The only problem I experienced was my retaining pin connecting the lever to the plow height adjuster came out, I noticed it as I was backing out I couldn't lift the plow. One 1.5" carriage bolt + nut & Loctite later, problem solved. I absolutely love this tractor. I had to shovel this driveway by hand a number of times, all the while my back telling me to go <censored> myself. Not no more!

JoeliusZ28 77 #36 Posted December 11, 2017 (edited) I have an asphalt horseshoe driveway that goes around the back of my house, im guessing its around 4000 square feet total, and I also do my neighbors driveways most of the time too. I dont have a picture of the layout but in this pic you can see the stairs to the back door of my house, and to the right is the garage.
