Hello all,

This is my first post I have had Wheel Horse tractors for many years and just recently I have got back into them. I just bought a 1967 657 and I have not found many pics or much info about them are they not that popular?

Thanks,

Jim

P.S. Once the weather gets better I will post a pic.

Well Jim I have one that I am going to rebuild. It is in very bad shape. It is a 1967 657,4 speed, Tecumseh HH 60-105013B 6hp & a drive wheel horse 5053. I do not have any manuals for it but am looking. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.

Donnie

hey jim

Welcome to Red Square!!

Well here my thoughts on the subject...Actually that body style is a very popular tractor, on the downside that model is not that popular...the main reason is this body style was offered with more powerful kohler engines that really can get the job done for gardening or other work..The one good thing about your model is they put the steel sleeve in the block which is an upgrade over the previous models with the Tecumseh engines. I love my tractors with these tecumseh engines, but to be honest, the kohlers are much better workers and the tecumseh are a little more aggravating to work with. From what Ive seen from the members in this group they like to work these tractors!! So most of them are using the engines to get the job done. But for tractor shows and lite work this is a great tractor to have..The cool thing about them is you dont see that many 600 series running around. Restore it original and you will have a great little tractor to show off!

Michael

Thanks for the welcome. My tractor is in very good shape. One of these days I will shoot a pic or two. This tractor will be used for light mowing and has been used to plow snow in the one little storm we had that year. Again thanks for the welcome.
