shunter 20 #1 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) I have a chance to pickup a 77 Wheel Horse B80, it has a plow, deck, wheel weights, they are looking for 600 for it. it looks to be in real nice shape. not familiar with this model.. anything i should check for? does 600 seem fair Edited October 1, 2017 by shunter
mikeeyre74 289 #2 Posted October 1, 2017 A little steep for my neck of the woods, but they're durable machines and run forever. Cracks in the frame to transmission plate if it has a plow on it would be my most concerning point.. it's fixable, but things have to come apart to do the repair. Aldon 4,828 #3 Posted October 1, 2017 If the wheel weights are plastic then I'd say a bit on high side. if they are cast Iron wheel horse weights, then it's priced very fair. Imo
Pollack Pete 2,273 #4 Posted October 1, 2017 Too much dough. There was a B-80 on Albany,NY CL this AM.Had a RD deck.Needed a battery and the guy wrote that it stalls when engaging the clutch.I'm sure he mean't PTO.Probably a switch issue.Price was a whopping hundred bucks. It would be in my yard but I already have a couple B-80's.
