wh500special 2,267 #3 Posted February 11, 2009 Micah, It's not going to be a plug-and-play retrofit. The easiest thing to do would be to buy another tractor . The 5xi tractors had a longer and wider frame, different attachment points, and longitudinally mounted engines. So, at a minimum, you will need to relocate/modify the subframe mounts and find a spot to accomodate the hydraulic pump so it can run off the C/300 side mounted PTO. If you're handy with metal work it probably wouldn't be a big deal, but it won't work as-is. If you've seen any of his projects you'll know that Bob is a master metal bender, so if he says it "was pretty easy" to make the required changes you might want to make sure you're approaching the task from the same point of reference ..."pretty easy" for him might still be insurmountable for a klutz like me!
