Economy tractor hydro belt help

I finally found a pump for my economy (1969) but the problem is the belt is a bit too short. It is one of those multiple link belts with metal fasteners linking together. I have another belt that I can just add links however I am not sure if they are able to come apart? the other problem is that unless I can add links, I will need to take the motor out in order to get a new belt over the driveshaft. Has anyone ever dealt with this issue? Advise would be nice. Thanks- :thumbs:
