fatboycowen 30 #1 Posted July 31, 2017 My 518xi has the 78353 deck. It's getting noisy, so i pulled it the other day to check things out, and figure out what to order. I found at least one of the spindle bearings is notchy. I pulled one, to get the bearing size, and ordered some. I plan to swap all bearings. Are these bearings pressed into the spindle? Will i need a puller? I found that the idler pulley bearing is shot. It appears to be a split pulley, with the bearing in between. Can the pulley be split, and bearing be changed, or does the whole pulley need to be replaced? The rear gauge wheels on both sides of the deck squeal like crazy, unless i JUST greased them. An hour of mowing after greasing, and it will squeal again. Can the bearings be replaced, or does the whole gauge wheel need to be swapped? Mine have grease fittings, but the photos of the expensive replacements don't seem to show a grease fitting. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
