Does My 1988 WH 520H have an alternator, if not could I install one?

  Hi guys I was wondering if my 1988 520H has an alternator, and if it doesn't then could I someway install one? T

Yes it's also called the stator ,but not like the external automotive style, it is a small (15 amp output) behind the flywheel rotating with the crankshaft and is externally regulated/rectified, and as far as installing an external unit yes it's possible but not easy without not using the PTO for its intended purposes or modifying the flywheel side with a pulley and figuring out a place to mount and tension it, Jeff.
