jonw440 196 #1 Posted June 10, 2017 I have a problem with the 265H I just picked up. The lift lever for the mower deck is stuck. I pull back and push on the button to lower the deck, but it wont lower. It doesn't move.Any ideas? I did spray some PB Blaster down the handle thinking it might be rusted. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,285 #2 Posted June 10, 2017 Are you able to push the button down? It is actually the end of the rod that extends to the bottom of the lift handle. I'm just looking at the parts illustration as have no knowledge of this model. Might be better info in the service manual Garry

DennisThornton 4,771 #5 Posted June 10, 2017 I can't check until this evening but I'm pretty sure counterclockwise.
jonw440 196 #6 Posted June 10, 2017 I tried turning the knob with channel locks and I think I broke the roll pin in the knob. Now what.......?
DennisThornton 4,771 #7 Posted June 12, 2017 Counterclockwise loosens & lowers the deck. Not sure what would be preventing that but an upward look from underneath seems to be in order.
jonw440 196 #8 Posted June 12, 2017 Thank you Dennis! I got it to turn. Now I have to knock the roll pin out of the rod and reinstall the knob. Thanks again!
