Welcome to the forum.

Does your transmission have 3 forward speeds or 6 forward speeds with a hi and low range?

Had completely dismantled the wheelhorse. I will check the gear tomorrow and post photos.

No serials numbers on the frame.

Some have a plated riveted to the flat panel below the dash housing but up high. One must almost get down and look up to see it.

The 5351927 Kohler serial number was made in 1973 so the tractor should be a 1973 or 1974 model.

1973 model 1-0120 or 1-0130 - 8 hp 4-speed but often named a Commando 800 for the European market (3 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed)

1974 model 1-0140 or 1-0145 - B-80 4-speed but often named a Commando 800 for the European market

1973 model 1-0370 - 8 hp 8-speed (3 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed x 2 for high and low range)

Can't help with the horse but the front fenders rank right up there with the license plates on the UK machines. Not something we, in the US are used to seeing. Thanks for sharing.JAinVA

Maybe I'm weird, ok I AM weird, but I actually kind of like the front fenders.  They remind me of newer model 4x4 farm tractors.

Thanks to all who try to help me. The gearbox is removed and is very difficult to operate. I can not determine the number of forward speed and reverse speed. On the transmission are left and right numbers. There is only one lever available for switching.

Numbers in transmission

6941  J18

other side

K19 9900

The 4-speed would have one shift lever.

The 8-speed would have 2 shift levers.

1973

1974

Best guess. These models used the K181S-30461d engine.

The comando have not very short engine hood. My hood is 84cm long, this is the longest of our wheelhorse we have.
