Tie rod dust boots for D series??

Recommended Posts

Am doing a workover on my D-200 and the tie rod dust boots are pretty crappy. Have prowled the web and am about crosseyed with all the dust covers there are, but very few give any dimensions, just they are for a Ford, Chevy, etc, etc. Has any one found any that will fit the D's? They are obviously small compared to the automotive types that I am finding....

Are you only considering new or as a last resort would you consider good used?  I have some that I saved from parting out an 18 Automatic and a D-180 that are reusable.  I am not replacing my tie rod ends and drag link ends with O.E.M. on my resto-mod as I tweaked it with aftermarket metric designed for a Volkswagon.

Sure, good used would do fine. Actually 3 of them are very acceptable, 2 are usable and 1 is missing.

You got paypal? send me a PM with your email and I'll shoot you postage -- and a cup a coffee.

Wilson, Thats a nice site! will have to put that in my favorites!

But ... theres a boot thats close but slightly too large in diameter and not quite tall enough, that too large dia would if anything need to be slightly smaller. So I'm gonna go ahead and use D mans used ones.

Thanks for that link tho, Ive got a Mitsubishi 4x4 thats gonna need boots.....
