mrc 727 #1 Posted May 28, 2017 hello all, my son-in-law is at my home for a cookout. he reports his 414-8 drive belt broke. i have "in stock" in my garage a few extra belts. i have a new 93-9808 belt. is that the right belt? i hate to send him home with the wrong belt. he lives a considerable distance from me. thank you mike in mass. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,503 #2 Posted May 28, 2017 The 93-9808 should fit but has a different white cover. 2 pages on it's application Garry
mrc 727 #3 Posted May 28, 2017 thanks garry, the 93-9808 that i gave him is in a genuine toro/wh bag. just as a matter of reference, what color are genuine drive belts from toro/wh? thanks mike in mass.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,503 #4 Posted May 29, 2017 I think the belts are normally black. The white belt cover has a lower friction to smooth clutch belt engagement and don't last as long before they slip under load. That's what it says on the 2nd page of the service bulletin.
