Ber-Vac snow thrower leak

Recommended Posts

I was in my shed today working on my 520 and I noticed a puddle of oil under my Ber-Vac snowblower. Shouldn't I store it on end like this?

You probably shouldn't because of the gearbox, but I have the Toro version and it stays hooked up on one of my 520s year round, but at least you know it made need some attention before winter, Jeff.

Yes I need to store it flat and check the oil before :occasion-snowman:I'm assuming it takes gear oil correct?

Without the Ber-Vac manual I can't tell you what lube it takes, but yes the Toro version does in both gearboxes, the auger and jackshaft, Jeff.

Going over 90 degrees today! Let's not bring up cold, wet, nasty snow today, OK?

If you're going to fix a blower, let's hope it's a Little Wonder!  :ROTF:
