Lane Ranger 11,394 #4 Posted January 27, 2009 Here is another internet posting from a Lawn and Garent Tractor magazine in 2004 that mentions the Danco and Johnson loader and another one made by the Soo Tractor Sweeprake Company of Souix City, Iowa. Includes photos, etc. http://www.hapcoparts.com/LGT%20NovDec%20Samples.pdf

pond195520032003 27 #6 Posted January 27, 2009 yes its definitly a Danco loader you should be able to find a pic of an original cub with the same loader(different model no. and mounting) that i had a while back
CasualObserver 3,411 #7 Posted January 27, 2009 There's a picture of a restored one in this thread in Other Brands. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/index.php?showtopic=3749
Nick 13 #8 Posted January 27, 2009 In the newspaper ad I think the unique shape of the front mount kind of identified the loader as a Danco. The problem I had was what looked like mounts sticking above the uprights and then leveling bars to the fork attachment (bars similar to those used later on KW loaders). The bars are what made me wonder if it was actually a Danco or not. That area was not shown in the picture Dustin posted but was fully shown in the JD Danco ad. Greg, I couldnt find your cub picture. Another question.. I had went to the PA show 7 years in a row but cant remember seeing a Danco loader mounted on a Horse there. Has anyone brought a tractor with Dacno loader mounted? Also with the original mounts and not adapted from a JD or Cub.
CasualObserver 3,411 #9 Posted January 27, 2009 This is Dustin's picture of one that was mounted on a 702.
Nick 13 #10 Posted January 27, 2009 Thats a nice loader Dustin found. I like the smaller size of Danco and Johnson loaders. They appear more to scale with the smaller garden tractors dimensions. Kind of what I tried for when I built the Rangers loader.
pond195520032003 27 #11 Posted January 27, 2009 here is a link to a pic of original with the danco! http://www.antiquetractors.com/cgi-bin/pho...ll&what=gphotos
Nick 13 #12 Posted January 28, 2009 Not a Danco or a Wheel Horse but looking for another picture found this one. Took it last years VGTCOA show. Different how Johnson put the bucket cylinder on the bottom.
Kelly 1,033 #13 Posted January 28, 2009 Not the best pic in the world, but this is the johnson loader I have I had to build mounts for it, I plan to build a ladder frame for it, not just the cross bar, that was just to get it mounted and off the ground. Yes Nick the size is just right for these tractors, I kinda wish mine was the newer style with the duel cyl.'s not the single in the middle.
